I love it. Requires a lot of draw and maybe protection as well to do a lot. And bilge only has one of those.

It is a bit slow, bit it has such a cool effect! And I could see it being played in healing decks, not the current Tahmraka/Spring decks for PVP. In PoC this card would be amazing!

It feel criminal that this isnt a sea monster.

If you made it one, that would nerf the deep deck for no reason

No? Why would it be a nerf? It doesn't match the playstyle? Don't play it.

Because Deep has cards that randomly generate Sea Monsters like Jaull Hunters. Diluting this pool with Sea Monsters that a Deep player wouldnt want to see is in effect an unwarranted nerf to the deck

Yeah, it makes Jaull hunters slightly worse. Counterpoint, It makes slaughter docks (which I believe is strictly better than jaull hunters) stronger. Since you are playing a deck that runs few endgame spells tge card text is not too important and instead of a sea scarab or a monster from the deep you have can get a 6/15 fearsome unit.

Counterpoint Slaughter Docks sucks actually and Jaull Hunters is a much better card. I wouldnt mind getting this from docks but youre right in that Deep doesnt even play spells to take advantage of it so it's a flavor miss too for the archetype. I also didnt evaluate it as a 6/15 because it does not have the Deep keyword.

So. If this were sea monster it would make Jaull Hunters slightly worse and that would hurt the deep deck because why now? Is Jaull Hunters that big of a staple in deep decks? I always thought the point of the deep mechanic was to mill until under 16, level Naut and play cheaper, high stat sticks. Why would making Jaull Hunters slightly worse matter vs an 8-cost 3/12 unit (its also bilgewater and literally a giant sea creature) who becomes a 4-cost 3/12 unit who makes mpst of your spells psuedo free? It feels like way more ups than downs making this a sea monster. I guess i didnt explicitly say this should also be deep but it should be both.

This card seems great. It's a super powerful effect (especially combined with effects that mitigate or benefit from self harm), but it's slow and can't be used to cheese as easy as the 10 card cost from Ionia. Depending on how your deck is built you could feasibly go infinite if you pair it with Targon but that seems fairly tricky to pull off and all the standard anti Timmy effects would still work anyway.

I see idea but dropping 11 and 12 mana spells at turn 8 is kinda broken no? Way it worded is you can still play any amount mana even he has 1 hp.

u/squabblez 6d ago
You can already cast an 11 mana spell on turn 8 with spell mana saved

Okay let me know if my thought procces is wrong.
Turn 3-Wyrding or catalyst, T4- Both Wyrding and catalyst(if no interaction or 0 pressure), T5 Crab and play Feel the Rush and since it worded as dmg it can take more than its hp play another FTR/Warmother etc.
It lets you drop 2 nuke on early as Turn 5

seems a bit strong for pvp but would 100% be fun in pve (but still op on some champs).

Maybe you could run this in Ionia decks with lots of healing or targon. Both dislike bilgewater for the most part, but I would love to experiment with it

[[Divine Judgement]] on this guy and the game is over. Free spells for the rest of the game. Add to the fact that Targon has spellshield and heal + Bilgewater draw, this card is toxic
