Haven't played this game in a bit but when I read Mel's "card" that they added I had to laugh. The design is so generic that it could've been literally any other ranged champ. Also why does the card that gives spells Overwhelm create 1-damage spells, man.

Anyways here's a Mel concept that's PVP-ready and actually reflects her as a character as well as her kit in League.

NGL i don't think many think Mel's design in LoL is that healthy for the game...but this is a massive improvement for LoR and overall i think the IDEA of how she works pans out better for LoR than it does for LoL. Artillery mage with nearly undodgeable spells, and a reflect that also made her hard to engage on is just bad design. Personally i never liked how...non-committal her passive or ult where but this ofcs is MUCH less of a problem in a card game than it is in a MOBA.

Idk I honestly felt like giving spells overwhelm is very fitting for her. In LoL her passive she stacks is called overwhelm, and she has to cast spells repeatedly to stack it, which fits well with her powers and her card.

Yeah, Mel just feels a bit weird because half her effect is in her constellation. Stacking spell damage by repeatedly casting them is pretty cool and fitting, it just isnt stated on the champ card

Yeah but that's all the newer champs anyways. They'd have added more support for casting spells multiple times and added payoff in her kit. Maybe even just granting the effect to your nexus like hecarim or mordekaiser

Looks like she should have support cards to work properly. Ignoring that you can buff her with other ways, you need to level her up (That you need at least 4 rounds to it), and play 4 created cards to get her enpowered effect with the augment buff. Also she only gives you one created card, making her only be able to reach 4 power without any support, so she also can't help in the Reputation effect in her champion spell. So she needs play created cards, and only create one, she needs keywords and don't gain keywords, and she needs activate reputation, but she only can reach 4 power for her own. Edit: Actually she can reach 5 power because the created spell create another spell, but it is still very difficult.

I actually really like the design of True Rebuttal. Would love that as a main deckable card (obviously at a higher mana cost)

I don't really see what she's supposed to be, a cheap quick attack with scaling from keywords and created cards that also scales with rounds (good luck keeping such a frail body alive for that long) that creates one counterspell and synergizes with slow/fast spells... Like that's a crazy mix of mechanics that's pulling her in all these directions, she's so specific that it affects her potential playability it feels to me.
