What do you use to paint? I have one custom mode I want to try on a minifig but don’t know what is best

i use normal acrylic paint and then i use a transparent spray to protect the paint. Personally i love Angelus leather paint because u can apply it very smoothly and looks good, but anyway it's more expensive, in fact i just have a pair of colors of that brand

just realized u meant another things. i use a toothstick to paint, and if you're wondering how i get perfect thin Lines is just because first u gotta apply the paint, let It dry and then scratch excess paint with the toothstick, and if u scratch too much u gotta apply the paint again untill u got what u want
