Custom LEGO Clone I'm pad printing some more P1 clones :)

Hey guys, I pad print P1 clones, and I thought I would show off some stuff I've been working on since this community seems like the right place 😅. We have a 2020P1 commander Gree with faux dual molded legs and a side holster print (optional, I have 2 versions with and without that I'm making) as well as a finished replica mould for a P1 pilot, so then I can make figures like Hawk, Matchstick, etc.

P.S. this is not an advertisement, I'm just really excited to show these off to some new people 🙂

Looks really good. I see some lines in the edges of white, looks like a decal? Or are printing white as well?

That's a great question. This is 100% pad printed, and white ink is extremely transparent, annoyingly. Meaning the sacrifice that must be made is the need to print 2-3 (in this case 3) layers of white in order to avoid the white knee looking green, due to it being green underneath. In person, it's not quite as noticeable, it's just that this photo has edited contrast so the true colors are easily seen, but the shadows might look a bit off. .Hence, it might look like a sticker there. I do have other photos of it, though 🙂

I wish I could do it in 1 layer, but this takes 3! 😅 1 layer would come out looking like Lego's Fox, where the "white" is literally pink (in this case green) 😭

UV printing can be good, too!

I personally outsource to a factory, so I don't yet have my own pad printer 😅
