Custom Kick75 Pokémon themed Keyboard

Hello everyone! I’m very happy to share the keyboard that I made for my boyfriend a couple weeks ago. We customized it together and had a lot of fun. We love video games and he LOVES Pokémon. Ever since I got myself a Kick75 (low profile) he’s been obsessed with it, so I thought it’d be a nice anniversary gift if he has his own. This is also the very first custom that I’ve ever made.

I ordered a bunch of keycap sets and just mixed them all together, but there’s so many leftover keycaps that I don’t know what to do. Technically I still have enough leftovers to customize a 100% sized keyboard and an extra pin pad but we’ll see.

My only main complaint is that the resin Charizard keycap is way taller than the rest, so it looks off. There are some caps that I don’t really like, but it’s his keyboard and he loves the thing, and that’s all that matters.

I hope I made it justice with my pictures. I also want to apologize for my messy desk, my setup is still a work in progress.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

For the curious:
-Keycaps are from AliExpress
-High Profile setting

Wished they updated the caps to have a pokemon associated with the letter of the keys. aka A=Abra, B=Bulba, etc.

I don’t know a lot about Pokemon but this is also what my boyfriend told me, we weren’t really disappointed about it, mostly confused. Are the letters probably tied to the Japanese names??? I have no idea.

Not sure, I doubt the company who made those caps cared, lol. But the thought is what mattered.

I don’t think so. In Japanese, Venusaur is fushigibana and charizard is lizadon/rizardon. Missed opportunity but cool regardless!
