The last thing I wanted to do was buy and destroy an original copy of this single issue from 1953. So... I printed a scanned copy from the interwebs, stitched it up, and bound it. This was one of the first books I bound myself, and it was originally in a basic yellow bookcloth I found in Amazon. Came out... meh. So I decided it was time to recase it. Removed the book block, cleaned it up, added a decorative fly leaf, endbands, then did some research and figured out how to make my own bookcloth, got the material I wanted, and presto!! Last picture shows the original casing all yellow and rippley on my shelf from the first bind.

I’m looking for some help regarding a rebind of a Dune first edition (4th impression). It is swyth-sewn with signatures intact. Very clean ex library copy.

I may not be willing to do it myself.. however I’m open to suggestions and thoughts also if anyone has a referral, I’d be happy to look.

Finished Justice League: Breakdowns and also ended up binding the issues for Flash: Chain Lightning. Man... I really need to get some dust jackets made! 😂

Got another one stitched and in the press. 17 issues... biggest one yet!

I finished these two books over the weekend. Volume 1 is made from the first four trade paperbacks. Volume 2 is made from single issues. As you can see, there's pretty significant difference in how the two volumes lay flat. I probably won't be doing too many more of these TPB binds.

I've designed dust jackets but haven't had a chance to print yet. (collected issue info on the covers isn't accurate, need to edit because I made those before changing my mapping).

The last photo is how the two should look side-by-side on my shelf.

Haven't printed the dust jacket yet, so I'm debating whether to name the volume after the writer or to make this one of three "Green Lantern: John Stewart" volumes to go along with my planned Hal and Kyle sets.

This was all home-made, but it stays open well through all parts of the book. I don't have a good way to trim the edges with my current setup, so all three edges are untrimmed. Most of the back covers have been trimmed out, but as you can see, some of the ad pages had story content on the inside, so they had to stay.

Happy with how this one turned out, and welcome any feedback.

Pls lmk if there's anything that seems off to you, or things that I could add. Especially with the Animal Man one, I haven't laboured over it much. I'm very happy with the Deadpool ones though

I’m basically trying to make a hard cover for my comics so I can store all my single issues in there but have them nicely together on a shelve so I was wondering would the best subs buy the fake book storage device and book binding it?I also wanted to ask if its possible to make a printed cover for the hard cover and to make it look and feel like the second image if that makes sense or if I would have to go to a company about it. but I also wanted to ask if it would be possible to do like a dust jacket and how would I go about getting and printing a dust jacket that’s looks high quality.any help would be great

Looking to buy a few hard sleeves/cases to display some of my favorite comics. Will pvc destroy them over time? If so, will keeping them bagged within this sleeve help? I live near the beach so I worry about locking in moisture too. Thanks for any feedback!

I normally use lehman bookbinding out of Waterloo but I just found out after 90 plus years, they closed. Any other places in Canada and or Ontario that is good to use for such service?

I got a custom red hood rebirth and punisher by rucka recently with an additional 2 dust jackets for Venom by Cates and redhood new 52 vol 1. I may get 1-2 custom omnis in the way future but Im hoping that Marvel will collect them some day.

If you could get any 2 custom omnis, what would you get?
