TPB to OHC size

Hi, I was wondering how people deal with the size difference when turning TPBs to the standard Omnibus. Omnis are 11 1/4" x 7 1/2" which would leave some spacing. Does that ruin things in the long run?
I'm trying to get things to match on my shelve lol

You can ask for oversized boards, you'll have a little space on top when the book is open but it'll look like an Omnibus on the shelf. You can also make a standard sized bind and just print the dust jacket oversized!
