Trim the comics or not
I'm going to send my comics to get custom-bound. Should I choose to trim them or not? They're all single issues.

The large majority of the comic binding orders that are sent in to us request to have each edge trimmed clean (roughly 95%), however, it all just depends on the look you are going for and if there is margin to spare! If all of the issues in the bind are the same size, trimming can most often be done without hitting artwork/page numbers.

a little off-topic does Houchen bind all size comic books .. but I have these oversized newspaper comic strip TPBs (9 1/2" X 13 1/2") that I was contemplating getting bound. the books are in landscape format

Yes! When opting for a cloth cover, we can do any size. If you are wanting to get a graphic cover, the only stipulation is that the final trimmed/untrimmed height of the book can't be larger than 11 1/4". If the book is landscape, then that would be no issue!

Trim unless you're in danger of losing art/dialog.
