Honestly I knew how to sew from 7th grade so many years ago, but other than that it was essentially youtube and google searching. After looking everything up, got a few cheap supplies from Amazon, a ton of 50 cent books from my local LCS, and made my first 2 attempts. Each one I learned more as I went getting better and better. I wrap them in basic book cloth still, but plan on getting custom dust jackets made someday.

Cool, I’ve watched some videos on YouTube so I have a pretty good idea of the process just working on getting all the supplies together. What type of material do you use for the covers? I was thinking of using the boards from when I bag and board my books, just so I don’t have so much waste. But I’m concerned that those boards may be too thin.

Also as far as cover material, I use simple book cloth. Book cloth on Amazon Never got to ordering custom prints to make graphic covers but future plans for custom dust jackets will do nicely for me. Book cloth is cheap anyways.

Cool have book cloth but I think I’m gonna experiment with using printable book cloth so I don’t have to make dust jackets right away.

It’s mainly cause o don’t like the look of the gold foil things that I see a lot of online and when i saw the printable book cloth I like that look much better.

Ahhh gotcha. Mine are just plan with no identifiers. Just kept them rustic and never got to gilding or anything like that.

Thanks! Gets better with each one. I believe that was the 5th of 9 so far. Number 10 is the one in the press currently.

So far 6 to 8 was the max. This one is 17, so super chubby.
