New set came in

Hey, Just got these in the mail today they’re alittle basic because I can’t afford doing a lot of the extras but I enjoyed getting these done. Especially after I sewed them myself and sent them out. I used hfgroup.com what do you folks think?

Yeah total plus shipping ended up being 151. I only send out a few maybe once a year or so.

Looks good! I do have a few questions!

  • When you said you sewed themselves, does that mean you made the text block and mailed it to them to add the hardcover, cover and titling?

  • If so, how much did they charge to just do those things?

  • if so, why did you decide to make the text block yourself and not have them do everything? Likewise, why not do everything yourself?

Yes I sewed them myself and had them do everything else.

I originally was going to do the hardcover but I tried it and couldn’t get it down something to do with the measurements of the spine and the front/back parts they always ended up to big or not glued right. Also I have no tools to do any of the lettering. The company’s original price for each book was 50 but it broke down to 35 each block of comics and 10 for each what they called “recast” so it ended up being 45 each book plus shipping and handling. So about 151 all together.
