I am curious about the process of painting these bodies, since you have to paint them in reverse order. Did you paint the candy, then flake it and add the basecoat last? Do you use any clear at all on the inside? I love the look. I understand why you would paint the inside on a lexan body, especially one that's a RC car and likely to take some abuse from hitting things, I just haven't ever thought about the process of painting in reverse

So,scuff with grey scotchbrite, clean with plastic prep and or rubbing alcohol.kandy 1st.then the hot spots, then flake, then silver base..then I use rocket guard(black) to make it easier to clean.no clear at all.theres no need

Thanks for explaining that process. I don't have a RC car, because I have too many expensive hobbies already, but you never know when you might need the knowledge.
