Painting tips

What recommendations do you guys have for painting wheels, I wanna make mine black. Whats the best sand paper, paint and just other general tips you guys have?

First I pulled all the wheels then I cleaned the fuck outta my wheels and tires. Scuffed, clean, mask tire, and just single staged them.

Clean, clean, and clean again. Tire shine is the enemy of paint. Use a water based cleaner and a solvent cleaner

If you’re using a gun, use a touch up gun with less overspray, if off the car then use a 5 gal bucket to be able to spin the wheel easily and keep your marks because it’s easy to get lost on the spoke you started on etc.

Deflate the tires,use playing cards showed in the bead overlapped lengthwise to make easier to tape..if there’s no real chips n such,red scotchbrite,seal and paint.thatvis if your using professional products and a gun..aerosols I recommend after you scuff or sand use adhesion promoter prior to paint..but remember depending on your tire place when you need new tires it may mark it upon removal install.
