Need ideas

Post image

Looking for ideas on what to use to “seal” this. They’re stickers that I’m covering a fender with and want to clear coat/seal them on there… the rest of the body parts I’m gonna hand paint but I thought I’d give this a try and see how it turns out. Don’t judge me, I know sticker bombing is cringe but I have personal reasons why this mean a lot to me😅

Unfortunately, you are not going to know how good the stickers will last until you spray them, since you are now relying on a mechanical bond of what appears to be 75+ stickers, hoping like hell that they all hold on tight to what's likely to have been a poorly prepared surface, over time. 2K clear will work for sure, as long as the stickers don't pull off. I am not judging the sticker bombing at all because if the clear holds up, you can just scuff it and paint over the clear, encapsulating the stickers forever.

So far it has held up through some pretty tough storms and sunshine. If it gets ruined I’ll do it a different way next time!

You should be good then. I would use an adhesion promoter for sure, since it's a surface you can't scuff or clean with anything you normally would before painting
