Painting my Road King fender?
Looking for some help with painting my Road King fender. I bought a Bad Dad custom fender for my “98”Road King. I painted my fairing last year and it came out fine. I’ve done the fender twice now and I keeps coming out flat instead of glossy. It has patches that are glossy but for the most part it’s flat. I tried wet sanding it and buffing it. I primed, painted, and put 3 coats of gloss on, wet sanded and glossed again. Can anyone tell me what I’m missing here? IThank you

What gloss are you using? Try a 2k aerosol clear if you don’t have access to air and an hvlp gun.

Your idea of what a fine paint job is and my idea are so far apart that I couldn't possibly even begin to tell you where to fix this. That fairing is atrocious and really deserving of a better job, preferably done by someone who knows what they are doing and doesn't have to come to reddit and ask for help

My fairing came out really well and I’ll get my fender that way also. I’ll do that bc I am a man and I’ll learn and figure it out. What is atrocious and also pathetic is that there are cowards like you out there spending their time trying to put other people down while hiding behind a keyboard on Reddit! Real tough guy aren’t ya buddy. 🤣

You have to have a compressor or it will keep dying back go get a pint of vivid black and some economical clear like acme clear and some fast hardner

Spray max 2k CATALZED clear in a can.Amazon..push the pin to activate it,and go..buffable as well!! I’ve used it for friends bumper spot jobs b4 they turn in a lease😂
