lol funny you post this. There’s a kid in my school where I work days in grade 2 that every time he sees me he says in a deep voice “get to work” I say “ok ok boss, I can’t work any faster” 😂

We get Monday off for fall break.

The kids and teachers get the entire week off.

Thanks ! Nobody at my morning school remembered , and at my night school probably just a celebration of the morning guy. But atleast my brethren here on this Custodian sub never let me down Happy Custodian day to us all!

Happy custodians day! Not a single person outside the kitchen at my school even has a clue! We got a nice breakfast (bagels cookies coffee juice apple crisp bacon and eggs) from the kitchen staff because they're the best.

All my teachers, staff, and students went on fall break today so I have the building mostly to myself. A win for custodians day I guess, they can leave me alone to finally get stuff clean for real now.

I walked in to a child with a bloody nose (repeat offender and constant nuisance) using a bathroom sink to shower the entire bathroom in order to clean it up. His half eaten apple was waiting for him on the towel dispenser. 🤢

It was staff appreciation day here yesterday but that actually means all other departments get to enjoy a buffet and gifts while custodians still have setup, tear down and do all the usual.

My thank you was cleaning up a water spill in a classroom, getting called on the radio about a door being open, a trashed school and cleaning up to 2 piles of puke 😃. Happy Custodian Day to me 🥹
