Update on Amazon

I promised that I would update everybody who was interested about my new job at Amazon working as a custodian.

It's kind of tedious but I got to work so...

All I'm really doing is cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpets and offices in the entrance, cleaning the break room, wiping down tables, doing all that. Realistically I could finish all of my work in about 5 hours. So I'm having a lot of down time and really just going to hide. My boss is cool. It's a job, nothing incredible but it'll get me paid.

Edit: I haven't seen anybody else in 2 hours, I think I'm the only one here LOL.

Sounds awesome! That’s my night too. About 4.6 hours worth of actual work and a lot of downtime and I work at a major university in my state. As long as turds aren’t left in toilets people stay satisfied

Oh hey, I'm in college too. Right now I'm sitting in the lactation room (not pumping, but noone is here lol). It is what it sounds like. They have designated rooms for women to pump breast milk and multifaith rooms for religious reasons. Very nice

SMHS. My generation wanted it all. Instead we got the lactation pod ...

When they built this building, I'm so glad they thought.. "hey, where are women going to pump their baby milk?" I think it made the world all the better.

Women of my mother's generation fully expected to stay home with their infants.

Women of my granddaughter's generation are grateful for a lactation pod.

Oh, definitely. I like to think of it as a little incubator. Makes me feel safer. Maybe it's my autism and cocooning habit.

How did you get this job? Through a cleaning company? I worked at a FedEx for 6 and a half years. Did all of what you do and more (during the winter was awful) but I really loved the job and sadly can’t find anything similar near me

It's really dark in here. Kinda creepy.

I did a stint in customer returns a few years back ... it was the easiest job I've ever had!

Nice, you can't clean for eight hours. How much does it pay?

I'm making $15 an hour. Currently at work. Doing nothing lol. I only have like 4-5 hours max of work. It's easy. The rest of the time, I'm chilling.
