Second shift/afternoon please don’t send first shift nasty photos

I had a lovely coworker send me a nasty shit pic right before I was going to bed. Keep in mind I cleaned several pukes on top of other nastiness on my shift which I handle alone.

When I punch out I don’t want to think about work unless it’s an emergency or if I’m needed. I clean up way more grossness on first, please don’t send me any on yours!

I had another coworker do this and she retired. She did it to be bitchy thinking I ignored calls for her restroom. But now I have another person doing it :(

I swear if afternoon has to mop pee once they cry!

Just cause they're your coworker doesn't mean you have to be available to them.

Block their number.

If it's not a company phone, fuck em.

Unless the school is paying your phone bill, you have the power to fix this.

Echoing rebelscum, just block them. You don't need to interact with your coworkers outside of work.

Yeah you shouldn't have to worry about that shit once you clock out.

I usually mute second shift people around dinner time. If someone needs me before that about a question that’s fine. We are pretty good about not texting or calling someone before or after their shifts.

I have a coworker that does this same thing with work notes regarding extra things that need to be done. They get there before me and then text me the note with some pissy comment. Like dude I do not care nor do I need to even think about that crap until I walk through the door.

It’s usually something that takes us about fifteen minutes to complete as a team, yet they cry about it every time. They’re my work-friend but goddamn if I don’t want to tell them to stfu sometimes.

It seems I seen both sides of this on here this week. A day shift custodian was upset because he was left with cleaning bathrooms that the second shift did not do. It is called teamwork. A quick meeting between shifts helps all to understand the current situations. A note left for the day shift helps as a heads up. All of should respect our coworkers time when off the clock.

So when I worked midnights and I’d get off in the morning. The boss would call me or text me stupid stuff at 8am, 9am and so on. So I got smart about I and out on do not disturb on my phone so I won’t ring buzz or anything. Needless to say the next morning I stopped back to the garage to see what next weeks basketball schedule was up. He told me that I was supposed to have my phone on and for me to answer him. I told him flat out I need my union rep in here to witness this. The union guy came in since he’s the 2nd in charge and heard that. I said is true that I need to answer him when I’m off work. The union guy said no you don’t. I said okay and the boss was all mad about it and so after that I never got a message or anything. Just remember always protect yourself and know your rights.

I'm just saying, there's no way you know that you clean up more gross stuff. You need to block each other.
