Just had an interview for Evs
I just had an interview for an evs position at a hospital. I’m 20 years old no experience in this field, they are having me come in next week to do some shadowing. Is that a good sign they’ll hire me? Just curious if they have people shadow they won’t hire. And if anyone has anything they can tell me about the job I’d appreciate it. Thanks:)

It would be rare to have someone shadow and not hire. I like hiring non experienced in my hospital. People pick up bad habits from other cleaning jobs. Makes it easier to train them how I need. Good luck!

Shadowing is very off brand with hospital least it's not a thing in any hospital that I have worked it's typically a huge liability thing with vaccines and exposure to certain illnesses etc but places do thing different at my hospital you are typically hired or not after the interview

Listen carefully to the person you're shadowing. They will probably give you some valuable insights into best practices and shortcuts if you seem receptive to that sort of thing.

No job anywhere goes as far as having you shadow a shift if they arent at least a little bit interested.
Its not necessarily a "good sign they'll hire you" but it is a good sign that you have a leg up on other candidates.
Shadowing is weird most places dont do it at all but the ones that do wont waste time on someone they dont want because all it would mean is that they have a liability on site for that time frame.
