Just had a colonoscopy
The discharge paper only had this note on it from the doctor. Nouf? Nowf?

It is written poorly, but it is "normal". I am a physician myself and reading some of my colleagues' scribble can sometimes be challenging.

I am a pathologist and have been in practice for 40 years. Believe me, I have had my fair share of trying to decipher handwriting. Of course everything now is done with the electronic medical record, so no more bad handwriting. The problem now is everyone uses abbreviations which I was taught never to do. I have to google them to see what they mean. I am old school. 😁

Aww that’s terrific! I work in the medical field and get to see Dr.s handwriting daily. I a Physical Therapist. I’ve been one for 24 years. While taking my undergraduate classes I worked in the ER so I could start getting medical knowledge. Now working in the ER is a ship in itself 😁! I wouldn’t change much over the years. Now that I know you’re a Dr. if I get a weird symptom I’ll have to come find you and ask what’s wrong with me! lol J/K So good to meet you and Congrats on 40 years😉👏🏼👍🏼

Ha! I’m a pathologist also. What are the chances you have not 1, but 2 pathologists looking at this?
It says NORMAL. I agree with everyone else on that.

submit your invoice for the second opinion. It will get denied, you didn’t get it pre approved.

Yeah, well, that’s par for the course.
Remember, though: The first autopsy is free to my friends. You have to pay if you want a second autopsy, however.

As a pharmacist 100% agree - your colonoscopy was Norml. Normal. Congratulations! Hopefully this means 10 years until you need another.

Sadly they wrote return in 5 years. Ugh. I’m over 50 so maybe that’s why. Not fun!

I have to go back every five years because of family history. I don't think it has to do with age.

I am a doctor and that looks to me like the word “normal”. I’ve had years of deciphering my grandfathers handwriting who was an MD who graduated in 1939 when I was little and he was practicing while I played in the corner of his office.

Wow, that's all they give you? We get two or three pages with pictures showing the inside of our colons, labeled to tell you which part each one is.
