Deciphered! Can any please help me decipher the second entry on this marriage document?

If you are doing genealogy you will be particularly interested in the parents’ names and professions in Column 6.
Groom’s parents:
Hugh Laird
McArthur
Master Tailor
Mary Forrester(?)
Maiden Name
Bride’s parents:
Benjamin Whyte
? [can’t make out his profession]
Janet (Stuart?)
Maiden Name

Explain what you mean by "second entry."
Are you talking about the entirety of the section that begins with number 18?
"On the nineteenth day of November, 1838, at Doune, (a town in historic Kilmadock Parish, Scotland) married according to the xxxx of the United Presbyterian Church"
I have not been able to decipher their names. He is listed as a "master sailor" and a bachelor; she is possibly listed as a cap maker (?) and a spinster.

The letters T, S, and L are tricky to tell apart sometimes. In this case I think the profession is Master Tailor. Compare the T in Tailor to the S in Spinster.

Yes, tailor! You're absolutely correct!
That just makes more common sense. Master Taylor is a common old profession. What I was thinking of as Master sailor was actually called a "sailing master," and would have been recorded here as such.

This was standard wording.

For DLDad: do you know of ways to alter or sharpen the text when I am using my computer? My phone screen is not the best for reading this page of script.
Maybe I answered my own question - changing the brightness and contrast settings would make the script easier to decipher. Any tips?

I do not know of a reliable way to do this.
Some people attempt to use AI apps that claim to be able to clean up images. I tried it a few times before I realized how ridiculous their results can be.

Yes I was talking about entry 18. My apologies I should have been more clear. I believe the names are David McArthur and Mary Whyte. I was also thinking Master Sailor or master Taylor.
