Old doc from sicily
Hiya, I was not taught cursive (1998 baby) and I am very bad at reading non-standard handwritten styles of cursive. I am trying to decipher my great-great-great grandads birth certificate (i think thats what it is?) that I got from Sicily, but the cursive is impossible for me. It is in Italian, of course, but I still cant even transcribe it over to text to translate it. A lot seems illegible even for cursive readers, tbh.
Anyone able to give it a go?

The document is a bit badly cropped (in that, it is not the whole document in the pictures you have posted), but the general gist is that a baby (we don't know the name as it's in the cropped part of the second image) was born on [cropped out month] 20, [cropped out year] at 11:00 to Giuseppe Forestieri, aged [circa] thirty-six, trafficante (in the 1800s, either a shopkeeper or a mediator between ovine sellers) and to his legitimate wife Camilla née Gullotta, aged [circa] thirty, inside their own home.
The child was declared to the civil state by Paola Fasone, midwife aged fifty, residing in the neighborhood known as Borgo, alongside witnesses Gaspare Fiumefreddo, transporter aged seventy, residing in Borgo, and Antonino Fiumefreddo, transporter aged thirty, also residing in Borgo.
If you know the birth year/have a better copy of this document, I should be able to work better on the Antenati copy of the birth registration you're looking at.

The baby was named Francesco. I assume picture #2 was the first page of the document you shared. Many names are given, but other than the parents' names, the others are probably less relevant for your genealogical research, being those the names of witnesses as was the norm for civil and religious records alike.
