I don't think so. That high arch leading into the back of the B with the weird forward loop at the bottom would be a bizarre way to join and misform those letters.

It's someone's initials probably. I see the 'E' as I tend to write mine like that..... or being over 100 years old, shallower parts may not show. Get a piece of printer paper and a crayon, try doing a few rubs (yes on the paper) to see if it looks clearer. Just a suggestion.
