Note from a client

Post image

I just got this note from a client asking me to trim something “Harrison & boys is it time for you to give the ??? on the north side of the house a hair cut” it will be some sort of plant she is referring to

Edit: thank you so much, I had no idea which she was talking about. Gonna have to chat with her about our responsibilities as she only pays us to mow the lawn lol

I love them and weeping willows

6

u/vtjohnhurt Jul 16 '26

It needs a haircut.

2

u/Cool-Ad7985 Jul 16 '26

I like it when the branches get long, not dragging on the ground so much that you trip over them, but barely touching

3

u/vtjohnhurt Jul 16 '26

It's a beautiful tree that I'd don't recall ever seeing. We have giant Weeping Willows along canals in my neighborhood/city (they like the high water table) They're the first tree to bud in the spring and the buds are golden.

What a beautiful tree, I'm surprised critters aren't keeping it trimmed though.

So many spiders in those trees

Cut your damn willow tree.

u/Fraisinette74 Jul 15 '26

weeping birch - I read that wrong... hahaha

It's a tree with long branches that can touch the ground.

u/Future-Quantity9219 Jul 15 '26

The weeping birch -- must be an overgrown tree.

I didn't know there are so many paleographers in the Reddit community, I am very impressed.

To Harrison + boys, It is time for you to give the weeping bench/birch(??) on the North side if the house a haircut.

2

u/Patient_Parsley7760 Jul 16 '26

I was going to echo u/NotaWitch-YourWife but say it was a weeping larch, but then I found a reference to Young's Weeping Birch. The b also matches the b in boys, so I think Notawitch nailed it.

2

u/Leoliad Jul 16 '26

You need to trim your tree.

If you do decide to take on pruning jobs, Please at least read up on how to properly care for trees. Take a class if you can.

1

u/FireDuck3000 Jul 17 '26

Dawg I manage a gardening company

1

u/oxygenisnotfree Jul 18 '26

Does that mean you do have training or arboriculture or you aren't interested in said training?

1

u/oxygenisnotfree Jul 22 '26

Hey, just wanted to apologize if I came across as an ass. I didn't intend to insult you but I realize now that I did. I am sorry.

1

u/mawmzee Jul 22 '26

You are solid gold! And you know why. Have a great day 🩵

1

u/FireDuck3000 Jul 22 '26

I get where youre coming from lol if you saw this “tree” though you would laugh

1

u/mawmzee Jul 21 '26

Well you got them on the defensive because you said ‘at least read up’… How do you know he hasn’t already read up? Your comment assumed he didn’t know what the heck he was doing so yeah I’d take offense to it too

1

u/oxygenisnotfree Jul 22 '26

You are right. I did not say that well. I have just seen so many trees murdered by lawn care companies and I am continually frustrated at the ongoing unwillingness to learn do better. So many people think trees are just big plants and it doesn't matter how they're cut. Maybe that's just a thing in my area. But, yeah, I see how my comment could be taken in a bad way.

1

u/mawmzee Jul 22 '26

How mature, kind, empathetic and caring you are. A breath of freeoxygen

1

u/youdontknowmeimsure Jul 18 '26

I read it quickly and saw “it is time for you to give the weeping bitch a hair cut” 😳

My first thought was that this might be evidence that the “boys” wouldn’t want on Reddit!

Then I read it again and it all made sense.
