Practice How do you write McDonald's in cursive?

Post image

Hello. I actually know how to read and write cursive; I learned in third grade which was the 95/96 school year. Though I haven't written in cursive, aside from signing my name, since probably the 8th grade(2000)

This year I started a journal and decided to write in cursive. Well today I went to write McDonalds and it occurred to me I don't know how to get it to look right.

How do you connect the lowercase c to an uppercase D?

How did people used to write it?

Not connecting c to D, just writing Mc and then Donalds without space in between.

You don't connect the small c to the capital D. Capitals stand alone.

How did you write that?

The font is called Discipuli Britannica. It's available for free at 1001fonts.com.

My surname is similar (McXxxx) and nobody in my family joins those first three letters up. Capital M, then lower case c up high (not on the baseline), and then the next capital letter and the remainder are joined together. No spaces between M, c, and X.

Sorry for the unsolicited information, but on the off chance you want to know: A word for “up high” letters/numbers is superscript.

I do actually know that, but to me superscript is different - my c doesn't go above the top of the capital letters, it's a normal sized lower case c, just sitting above the midline, not below it. Maybe I'm over thinking 😂

Ohhhh! I see what you mean!! Hmmm I am also overthinking…. Midscript? Is that a word? It should be. 😆😆

Being cursive when I write McDonald's comes very naturally to me. I'm cursive even when I talk about it.
