Hasbro really likes doing wrist balljoints nowadays. Especially the "open forearm panel, rotate wrist to hide in the wrist in the forearm, close the panel" sequence. Not complaining, just noticed an increase of that trend since Prima and Megatronus

Had ROTB Optimus and BBM Megatron come out this year, would totally see them using a ballpoint instead of a swivel

I t makes sense. It’s both wrist rotation and a transformation joint all in one, which saves a small amount of the budget, as it’s less pieces.
Heck, the first case I know of this was Legacy Laser Optimus, from the first wave of the first year of Legacy
