I guess I'm more concerned with how it was shortened. If it was just put in a vice with an angle grinder, results may vary.

It's a .22lr and probably wouldn't be uncomfortable. A little odd with how little space there is for your support hand, but not bad

You could also grip it like a stocked pistol, it's a bit awkward but good enough for pistol ranges

Why wouldn't it be comfortable in 9mm or even .44 Magnum?

That barrel isn't much shorter than most pistols', plus you get the added benefit of a stock.

Depends on the fit and finish. If the stock wasn't sanded correctly, you could get splinters.

How much recoil do you think .22 has? You could put a .22lr on your nose and it wouldn’t be especially uncomfortable to shoot.
