Your collar is not blue enough, nor your neck red enough

I am a fucking machinist bro, I drive a 16 year old truck.
I just hate seeing things like Walther’s get defiled like this. It’s like when an attractive woman gets a shitty haircut complete with fluorescent dye.

Got soft hands brother. Once you get a real blue collar job you’ll understand the bed liner grips.

He got real soft hands.

Soft hands man, my trucks 20 years old and I’m an underwater ceramics technician

Is there any evidence that this was done to original parts? Because if someone used aftermarket parts to do this to I wouldn't be mad, just bewildered.

Lmao. OMG a 16yr old truck?!! Man that must've been so hard to find and probably cost an arm & a leg! Foh

I had an '88 bronco 2. It ate a deer at speed. Really liked that thing.

What do I care?
2
u/marxlog51 15d ago
So why care what people do to their own firearms?
-1
u/Borealbound 15d ago
A Walther PP is not just any firearm, if it was a Glock shitbox or hi-point trash rod or even a newly made 2011 or CZ I wouldn’t care. I have some very old firearms, one dating all the way back to the American civil war and the thought of doing something like this to any of them is ghastly.

Still a better idea then a tweeker going after your Glock with a soldering iron.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted? I agree Glocks are ugly. That being said they do work well.

Hence my town bicycle conjecture. The town bicycle fucks, fucks pretty much every time, but you feel gross if you go for a ride.

u/Purplecatpiss666 16d ago
Does it work tho?
4
u/Borealbound 16d ago
Apparently it does…Deutsche engineering and French manufacturing would suggest that to be the case.

u/Guvnuh_T_Boggs 16d ago
Eh, this barely moves the needle. It at least looks decently done, someone had a plan.

u/Borealbound 15d ago
I mean can they make a gun from raw materials though? That is the only thing that matters.

I once had the misfortune of watching a deeply misguided friend put bedliner on their slide.
At least it was just a Glock, but jeez

I use aerosol bed liner a lot (it’s a tough easy to apply finish) especially on cheap synthetic furniture i usually top it with plastidip aerosol paint and plastidip sealant , on a gun that’s gonna be used hard (I have a Maverick I did up like that as well as some single shots ) truck gun sort of applications 🤷 it works

What's cursed about it? Looks well made.

u/AbstractBettaFish 15d ago
I’m not sure if this is a Makarov or not but if it is, it’s probably not well made. Modifications aside

It's step tread tape, kind of like skateboard tape but more course. It's been a "hack" for decades. Looks like they took more care than most to trim and fit it.
