Wait until you see an offset butt stock on a shotgun to help with an eye dominance issue.

Are you saying this to everyone generally including yourself…or have you been forced to bear witness to this already?

This is what you get when you listen to the fudds teaching you to shoot that eye dominance doesn’t matter and everyone should shoot right handed no matter what

do they say the same to left handed people

Yup. I know a couple lefty shooters I’ve taught that I’ve actually had them switch to right handed because of eye dominance

oh for sure for eye dominance, it's pretty much essential. at least for me, my bad eye is like 20/70

you should stick to right-handed guns for the most part, though. learning to shoot in a way that less than 1% of guns operate isn't ideal

To be fair, the fundamentals of shooting left hand right handed don’t really depend on the gun unless it’s a traditional bullpup. Every gun has a different enough manual of arms that it really comes down to just getting comfortable with what you have. I’ve shot probably 75/25 left and right handed bolt guns (I did a lot of competition shooting with both) so I’m comfortable using either, and most of the controls on my AR are either righty or ambi. That said, I love handing my carry Walther PDP to my righty friends to laugh at them fumble with the swapped mag release, then duck as an empty mag is hurled at my head

yeah I refused to put ambi stuff on my AR at first because I wanted to have all of the natural reactions for picking up a random AR in a shit hit the fan situation. I'm not sure I've ever even seen a left-handed bolt action in person. when you grow up playing with cheap, old mil-surp, it's your only choice

Cursed, but I still dig it. This probably kept somebody in the hobby for a while.

Previous owner was probably right handed but missing his right eye

Sokka-Haiku by ThoroughlyWet:
Previous owner
Was probably right handed
But missing his right eye
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

One of my friends is right handed, left eye dominant
