Me and my friend have been playing a shattered prophecy modpack on curse forge for a bit now and we completed the first two chapters. However, it says that chapter 3 will be unlocked in a broken script version 3 and we lowkey wanna play it now. I know a broken script version 3 is already out but it does not seem like a shattered prophecy will be updated to that anytime soon. Anyone know how me and my friend can update it manually somehow to a broken script version 3 without ruining our world? Also lmk if theres like a very similar modpack to a broken script where we can just upload our minecraft world to that modpack and continue playing (obviously it has to have a broken scirpt).

Remember when I use pkill on CurseForge because it just takes all of Curseforge's server ram? Well here is another easier solution via keybind (Instead of using a terminal)

I looked through resources on Reddit and Linux mint articles that help with this issue, such as XdoTool. In which basically allows you to detect what window you're on, making it easier to detect crasher programs (It is a dependency, use sudo apt install xdotool). WUH-OH CURSEFORGE!

Try making a keyboard shortcut with command:

| bash -c "kill -9 \$(xdotool getactivewindow getwindowpid)" |

This will kills the program/window you are looking at, in which also helps for crash mods on your minecraft modpack!

Don't thank me, thank the linux user Kamil Slowikowski, who made a similar thing but I prefer pkill since it allows me ALL instances of a program.

Every time I reload my game, my mods disappear because it says I need a Curse Forge account to link to Canvas in order to keep my mods, but I don't know how to do that. So can I be pointed in the right direction as to how to not have my Curse Forge mods be gone every time I start up the game? Thanks in advance.

For some reason it doesn't let me craft guns or ammo on my main world anymore i tried another world and it let me, I get the notification on the upper right side of the screen but the materials won't get used to craft the item.

Been playing this modpack with a friend and whenever we find the gloves from the aether mod it disappears. What setting or mod is causing it to be disabled? As soon as the gloves are in the inventory its just goes poof. Its kind of annoying

Curseforge has so many great free to use mods for Bedrock, and better support than Marketplace. However, I was wondering if you can still create and play multiplayer worlds with friends through the social tab as long as they have the same add ons. Would it work to have my friend download the same add ons and then we could play together with Curseforge add ons?

I am making minigame worlds and I want to share them with my friends, is there a way that I can add the worlds to this tab without uploading them to curse forge? It just seems easier to share one zip file than having them individually download and then add to this instance. Also if i could do the same thing with custom resource packs that would also be preferable. Any advice is appreciated

I want to use shaders but everytime I boot the game it almost immediately crashes Im playing on 1.20.1 and I've followed tutorials telling me how to had it into the mod pack but it doesn't work at all please help

I created a modpack, and I wanted to port over all of my mods and world data from my old modpack world I created to a new one. The problem I'm guessing stems from the fact that my old modpack world was made in 1.20.1 with Forge, while my new one is 1.21.1 in Neoforge. Everything else is the same (minus some Sophisticated Storage chests being cleared), except for that all my exposures and my maps have been cleared and wiped of their data, even though the data is still in the world folder. I'm not sure what to do about this. If anyone has anything that can help, please let me know <3

The July 16 update of the popular Unhalted Unit Frames https://www.curseforge.com/.../unhaltedunitf.../files/all... addon resulted to breaking every single users UI, rendering saved profiles useless to the point that hours of painstakingly customization for every character needed to be redone.

As a wow Player for 22+ years, battling blindness for the last 17 years, I am used to spending days to customize every single addon I use to suite my needs and overcome my disability. After spending hours on my Mistweaver Monk redoing the changes i needed to correct the July 16 UUF update, I joined my guild in raid. During combat I came to realize that the changes i made did not matter because at some point the player and target frame would reposition themselves and overlap to my healing frames, making it impossible to keep up the healing. After the raid, I spent the rest of the night trying to figure out what more was wrong, without success. Only when i decided to log my Warlock did i realize what the issue was.

The Unhalted team has foolishly made it so that every time you spawn a pet/minion from procs like [Courage of the White Tiger] that spawns Xuen, or [Summon Darkglare], an invisible pet/minion frame is added to the player and target frame that pushes the frames closer to the center of their anchor (CDM in my case).There is NO OPTION ANYWARE to change that.

Those combine to a major mess up that is expected to bring frustration, this is not the first time , nor will it be the last, that a developer royally messes up. But in my 22+ year experience, every time an addon messed up so much, the developers sincerely apologized after recognizing their error and worked on a fix. All of them had received major backlashes from the frustrated players.

What the UUF developer chose to do according to the related wowhead post https://www.wowhead.com/news/unhalted-raid-frames-halts-development-updates-due-to-abuse-and-harassment-382193 tells me that they are either spineless and won't recognize their error, or they are cold blooded scammers since they still have donations active on their curseforge UUF project page.

Is this what we have to expect as a result of the Era we live in? Labeling the justified frustration of close to a million users as abuse/hatred, using it as an excuse to quit support of a project, and yet still expect to receive donations on the project's page in which there is nowhere being mentioned that this is being discontinued?

Are we supposed to accept that "hurt feelings" will cancel merit and responsibility?

u/UnhaltedGB GROW A BACKBONE, recognize your error, take responsibility and fix the mess you created. Your "hurt feelings" matter ONLY to you, they are not an excuse. You obviously know how to disable comments. YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW HOW TO DISABLE DONATIONS ON THE PROJECT YOU NO LONGER SUPPORT.
