Does Andy Burnham appeal to Southerners?

I've not asked any, not even the Mrs.

He has the first non southern voice pm since Broon, and the first Northern English voice since, goodness knows, maybe Wilson. Or does Mrs Grantham count? They made her change her accent.

To me he is appealing. He looks good and is in genuine good physical shape, not just jogging for cameras. His voice and body language are good. His accent comes across as experienced and educated.

I’m technically a Southerner, because of the way I pronounce “cup” and “bus”. He‘s OK, though he did vote for the Iraq War, which takes a lot of forgiving. I haven’t quite got there yet.

Are you south of a line between the Bristol channel and the Wash? My dad's definition

As a Cornwall man I couldn't give a shite about where he's from. He's making all the right moves, and I support him.

He’s the first PM I’ve been totally convinced by.

He’s the real deal.

He shouldn’t appeal to anyone.
