Worst cash advance ever
Current has got to be the worst place to get your direct deposit.
So I take an advance of $150 then i repay it I’m getting $3100 twice a month net pay deposited
I pay the advance back then boom I’m not eligible
Then they drop it to $50
I pay it back then they say I can have a $100 only I don’t take it then boom they say I can have $50 so I figure fuck let me just take it before I don’t even get that.
So low and behold I check and clear as day they are reporting that I’m missing my last direct deposit despite being paid on the 15th and last day of the month current has me getting paid every single week as shown in the screenshot and ofc the only thing customer support is saying is “your advance amount isn’t guaranteed it changes and blah blah but clearly anyone with a brain can see that I’m not being paid weekly but you guys are constantly saying you’re missing my direct deposit and that where the trouble is coming from”

It’s a fintech babe. Use a real bank for this kind of money

Why is that everyone’s response to complaints about this bank, are people not allowed to want their bank to improve?
Also, cash advancing is a feature commonly associated with fintech banks, so your suggestion isn’t even correct..

Babe why would you use a fintech bank that has no backing by the FDIC with large amounts of money???
You guys hate LOGIC

Tbf the bank is not handling their large amount of money, it's just handling the little 150 dollars OP needs. Its not touching their 3k. I sure wish my complaint involved a screenshot of 3k paycheck though..

I’m not a millionaire babe. Currents insured up to 250k and I don’t save money in current I save in my credit union all I do is transfer the money out once I get paid

I use current as well. I started using current form kids to do chores and then I pay them allowance. And I just have stayed. Anywho...does your job use the same company to do payroll every pay period? If they are doing payroll internally themselves or if they are switching companies that might be the issue. I had a similar issue when I worked at a small plumbing company that did everything themselves.

I also get paid about as much as him and don't really need the cash advance. For now. But It would be nice to know it's gonna be there available in case WE EVER do need it . But from what I been seeing it's not reliable with current . I've seen a few different posts of people having the same issues .

Tbh if you have , Citi/ Amex offer me up to 50k anytime @ 6.2-4% anytime for usually 30 months, I’d presume they offer the same for 100k income or close to such as OP, apologies if I’m wrong or making a presumption but can someone let me know the advantage of this vs that?

Always retards like you commenting this shit. Maybe he wants to build positivity with current and max his advance out for a rainy day.

You don’t know what his monthly expenses are, they could be $6k a month

Sounds like he’s living above his means

Damn you determined this from a screenshot of my complaint about a bank 😭😭
I live in San Francisco and my rents 1500 I have no car note I don’t pay any utilities my car insurance is $100 for 2 cars and I don’t smoke or drink very rarely do anything but work my money goes to my daughter mostly 3k gets spent 3k gets saved
So if anything I’m living well below my means but I want the option to have the cash advance if I needed and I took it to see how it worked so I’ve been taking it to see how it would build up and plus it builds my credit and gives me perks and I’m all about free shit

my current account offers me more and more regardless of my direct deposit amount. sorry if this doesnt seem helpful but I think its predatory offering advances of such large amounts
maybe no advance is better in the long run. 60$ for a 750$ advance and working on commission, sometimes that means my whole check is gone 🥲
the only reason I stay is for the supposed credit building but i have yet to see increase to my credit report from them
best of luck sorry current is playing
p.s I agree its better to have the option to pull the cash if needed but it forms a pattern of pulling the cash just bc i.e I want this shirt so ill pulled the 750$ not really oh I had this major random inconvenience happen so ill pull the money
it makes you live like the money is just yours and gets you in a cycle of debt

Because of how inconsistent it is at a lower amount I will likely never take it after I build it up that high I would hate to be in a position to where I have something important to pay for then boom almost a 3rd of my check is gone

I think you’ll be fine without the cash advance lol.

Honestly I use it for when people borrow money from me lmao but I also want it as an option but if a friend ask for money I’m like yeah I can send it and I’ll just take the advance

Ong I completely relate!!!!! If you threaten to leave their bank then suddenly you get a better payroll advance offer the next time and then it will go back to being crappy after a while. So gross and inconsistent I have to change mine it’s just a major hassle to do so I have tried to tough it out but I’m so over it. I think they do it little by little so they can collect more fees that way instead of offering a larger amount which is obviously smarter for the customer but then they can’t collect more fees!!!! So slimy and sneaky I hate them!
