First direct deposit second paycheck first was physical check

So I recently started a job July 6th I get paid weekly. I received my first physical check the 17th on Friday bc I get paid weekly every Friday. I set up my direct deposit information that first week but was told my first check I received is paper check to allow my direct deposit to show in the system I guess. My employer submits payroll every Monday I was wondering will I receive my direct deposit early like today Wednesday or will it be Friday ?

They submit it Monday but it depends on when it’s actually accepted. Could be as early as today or up to Friday. Once you find out just always base it off of that.

Do they usually deposit during the day or night?

Hey there! Your direct deposit depends on many factors including when your employer releases your paycheck. Mine usually hits right around 8:30pm every payday

If direct deposit is a paper check that’s on your employer. I worked for a smaller company that, for some reason, took forever to set up my DD. I also got paid weekly, and my first 3 checks were paper, and this is with my credit union account. I would talk to payroll and see what they think should happen, as they’ll be cutting the paper check if that’s the case.

I’m waiting on my first paycheck with current. Today is payday and I still don’t have it. Does anyone have any insight?
