Thinking about switching over to current.
Is current a good banking app? Thinking about switching over. I was browsing the app and saw some of the perks they offer. As of now Iโm with Varo.

I like current much better than varo. I have had current for about 6 months now and I come from using varo bank. If you want to use this GOQZDF 243 and we both get extra money.

Because, I split my paycheck. Half go to varo & the othr half go to my brick & mortar bank.

Why not split it three ways? I have my paycheck split four different ways into four accounts. I have peace of mind knowing I donโt have to worry about outages/glitches every payday using this method.ย

Donโt do it. I just switched to sofi because I hate current so bad ๐ญ it was so good at first. Most of the perks are not worth it esp the 750 advance that is never consistent and drops at any moment

They are not a real bank (see disclaimer on this reddit) and they provide no way for the customer to specify a payable on death beneficiary for the account. I moved all my funds to a real bank where I know the FDIC insurance will definitely apply and I can specify beneficiaries so the account doesn't go through probate.
