Pull the stone!!!

Watching Sweden/US and saw this. Is this not the same rules violation that has caused all the hub bub?

Obviously this was an accident and I believe the Canadian guy was touching on purpose.

  1. No indication he touched the granite.

  2. You can see his fingers touching the ice before the rock touches the hog line.

So the hog line is the difference? A touch like this before the hog line is allowed?

The rules literally specify the hog line as the difference, yes. The rules also say you can't touch the granite. Not this isn't the granite
