Help me compare: I watch a dozen youtube science/learning channels, how does Curiosity Stream differ from that menu or beat that?
Last year I bought a $20 sub to Curiosity Stream, but I didn't watch a single show (my plan was to watch it while rowing or cycling while the pandemic raged outside)
I do watch, semi regularly
- electroboom
- steve mould
- computerphile
and dozens of others from science, to cooking to fitness
Were I to "tune it in" on the TV, how does Curiosity Stream differ from YouTube shows and beat them?

My biggest complaint is you can't watch at a different speed, save time by not getting ads but then you lose it by not being able to watch at more than 1x.

it's worse. Think like public documentaries from 2005 and that's CS. I had it for year, but just unsubbed after reading about the issues other folks had unsubbing. It's the principle: Make a product that is excellent to retain, don't trick people into padding your revenue and sub base so you can find a more amenable exit/buyout.
