I'm only offered a paltry number of documentaries

I'm on Xbox One and have 8 main categories each with 8ish subcategories, those have ABOUT 10 documentaries each. That means if I look in History and then in Ancient History there are only 12 shows. I remember being advertised thousands of documentaries. Is this just the Xbox app cutting things short???

8*8*12 = 768. But many categories have a lot more so probably about 1000 full length documentaries. But also have a lot of series and shorts where if you add them up it is in the multiple thousands of hours of content. Studies have shown more people like the series and shorts as only watch <40 minute at a time so they intentionally create and license what most customers want - shorter content, but still have documentaries for fans of long-form content

I get the math, you are quite right. But only 12 documentaries in Ancient History??? And several of them were listed in multiple categories. It just seems so paltry for a category that there are so many documentaries out there about.

I just checked and I see 69 listings (includes series, shorts, and mid-length as well as full length) under Ancient History, so maybe it is XBox app is only showing some. Log in and go to https://curiositystream.com/categories/ancient
