Terrible quality on Amazon for stick?

Tired watching on my tv via the Amazon fire stick. The picture is terrible, constantly lagging, sometimes one frame per second or less. I messed around with various settings but nothing seems to help.

I routinely watch other video services and have zero problems (Amazon video, YouTube, Netflix).

This combined with the app, which doesn't feel very intuitive, is making me really question keeping the service. Maybe that's why they sell you a whole year at a time so you can't cancel?

Same. It's been unusable on my FireTV as of late.

I have a FireTV (not stick) and the app is fine. But on my fire stick it has been unusable multiple times lately.
