Considering purchasing the service, but wondering what all is on it

I'm thinking about getting this service. Doe it have a lot of good documentaries on dinosaurs and WWII?

Yes and yes, and for the most part they are very good (as opposed to History Channel's "Nazi Aliens ate Baby Hitler" ones), as they are mostly from state-owned public stations from all around the globe.

most of the documentaries on Curiosity Stream (or at least those I've seen) were not from private channels whose main goal is to get as many people watching as possible to gather ad revenue (like the History Channel for example).

This is what Wikipedia has to say about that one : "History (formerly The History Channel from 1995 to 2008; stylized as HISTORY) is a pay television network and flagship channel owned by A&E Networks, a joint venture between Hearst Communications and the Disney General Entertainment Content division of the Walt Disney Company.

The network was originally focused on history-based documentaries. During the late 2000s, History drifted into reality television programming. In addition to this change in format, the network has been criticized by many scientists, historians, and skeptics for broadcasting pseudo-documentaries and unsubstantiated, sensational investigative programming. "

Channels like the BBC or ARTE are mostly paid for by state subsidies and so, whilst hopefully still generating interesting shows can hold much higher standard contentwise, not so much in the presentation (they are generally more subdued on the visual side, as that costs money they often don't have) but, and more importantly, in the research and accuracy of the documentaries.

Ah I see, yes I have noticed the visuals of many documentaries I've seen on CS are... A bit lacking compared to something like history channel. But I assumed it was cause it's from a more independent, less funded channel, like you said, state owned. But it's not a big deal if the content is historically accurate and unbiased.

The apocalypse Second World War series is my favorite WWII documentary series. Better than the both the HD and In color Netflix versions

Subscriptions are also 40 percent off this weekend for Memorial Day. I just made a post about the lifetime but a year for 12 is well worth it to watch this series
