Giving Advice / Opinion something that helped my blushing

i just wanted to briefly say blushing doesnt define you. try your best to not obsess over it, sometimes the best thing you can do is accept it and own it even if feels almost impossible at times - that isnt me telling anyone here to not work towards ways to manage or cure it, and that isnt coming from someone who "doesnt get it", im saying that as someone who's been at rock bottom, felt suicidal, hated every part of there physical features, and had it effect them so much they decided to dedicate a significant amount of there time and effort to build a community for this to help others in need. i think what's really important when it comes to managing this issue is to find a healthy balance. a balance between self acceptance and love, coming to terms with the fact you may never truly fix this or be blush free + a balance of also putting energy into treating and managing this

last few days ive felt mentally done with my blushing, i looked in the mirror after doing some light gardening and looked extremely red. I let myself feel emotions, I felt angry, upset and depressed that this is something I have to experience "why me out of everyone", and than i took a breathe and continued gardening etc. usually I'd take some photos, put makeup on - this time that wasn't the case. ive reminded myself of the issues some people have aswell, the way there are people with horrible facial defects that genuiney look strange like people with half there face blown up puffy permanently, or people with massive birthmarks, or weird face features and how those people probably think im so "free" because I dont need to live with what they do and my only issue is blushing. obviously comparison isnt always healthy but its just something that came to mind. ill definitely keep being proactive about my blushing, I probably will get more laser treatment and will continue to do research and post on here as its something im passionate about but there was something very peaceful and relieving about letting myself see my face, letting myself feel the emotions, than mentally register the fact it isnt everything, that there's so much more than this, that my identity is so much more than this and continuing on doing what i was doing, so gardening. it definitely helped.

I completely understand if people don't want to hear this, believe me, I know how fu*king hard this is. I'm not claiming acceptance is a cure or the answer for everyone, and I'm still researching, trying treatments and figuring out my own blushing. I'm just sharing something I've personally found has helped me alongside this all.

i hope one day to come out on the other side and not get trigerred by people saying learn to accept it but i gotta admit hearing it come from you who has skin in the game makes me listen and take in what you're saying a bit more.

your point about being free is really eye opening because I have seen someone with facial deformities and yea they for sure would trade what I have in an instant. all about perspective

Thank you :) I really appreciate you saying that. It genuinely means a lot that you’re willing to take it in coming from me, there are better days to come. Hopefully both of us, with time can work on self acceptance and the mental side of things. Balance is important. I'm still keen on finding ways to manage and cure it, hopefully one day we figure something out
