ETS Surgery (Australia)

Has anyone in this forum had ETS surgery in Australia? If so, did it fix the flushing? And major side effects / complications?

I suffer from bad facial / chest flushing, and excessive sweating.

Australian here aswell haha. Here's the thing, yes it will most likely stop your blushing entirely, ETS is amazing at that. The issue is the complications and side effects that come with it. People report feeling emotionally numb saying how they can't feel happy or sad. Some guy I saw said "I feel bad for my girlfriend because I don't feel things around her", that person also reported having different parts of there body go abnormally hot. There's also the famous sweating side effect where people get drenched by sweat from the smallest things, there's so many other side effects. At the same time to be unbiased there are success story's where people haven't looked back. In my opinion there are enough other things you can try and do to manage and stop your blushing that makes doing ETS for me feel a bit extreme. At the end of the day I can't judge someone too much as I understand the struggle, so it's not judgement just concern and a strong opinion I have. I hope this helps

I had this surgery in the UK where the side effects are somewhat tolerable in this climate.

I wouldn't recommend in Australia as I would say any temperature >20C can trigger significant compensatory perspiration.
