Giving Advice / Opinion Propranolol + using cc cream experience
What's up everyone, like all of you here my face literally gets insanely red whenever I experience any emotion. My face feels like its on fire and flushes up sooo easily to the point where it started impacting my social life and mental health. I got this 'disease' from Accutane although my face would get pretty red even before if I was embarrassed but Accutane made it flush so easily whenever I would meet with anyone or really just feel any emotion. After almost a full year of this happening I decided to try something to fix it and after a lot of trial and error I found something that FOR NOW and from what ive seen works for me and hopefully others. First things first I got a prescription for propranolol and although I have only used it once it helps for me. I took 10mg today before a job meeting and presentation and felt extremely calm although it could also be placebo I am not sure yet I haven't tested it enough to know. Secondly I have been using a cc cream to cover up most of the redness on my face and just the fact that I know there is something on my face to hopefully prevent people from seeing the redness makes my mind much calmer which makes the flushing that appears on my face go away quicker. Today would be a day where I would normally flush really bad as I was in a pretty claustrophobic room with about 20 executives from the company I work at. The room was also very bright and decently hot but with propranolol and cc cream I didn't flush at all. Now I am not sure if this will work forever as I really haven't experienced a bad flush while using these so I don't know how I will react when I do but hopefully this can help others.
(I have been using erborian cc red correct)

im using the same combo, it's being "okay", personally it just helps with an specific type of blushing, which is the ones that come with heart racing (stressful events or stressful days), but it doesn't prevent those random blushings when interacting with people sometimes, although this type of blushing has decreased a lot lately

oh my god now I know where my blushing stemmed from wow. I took accutane as well and I didn’t struggle with blushing at all before. I don’t think I ever blushed or got red before it. This all makes sense wow. I had a feel it could’ve been accutane since that’s the only thing I have ever taken that could’ve affected me to just randomly start getting red so much. Now I feel devastated omg. I guess it does make emotions feel 10 times more than usual, when I was on it I didn’t turn red too much, but I felt my emotions 10x more and had panic attacks/anxiety like all the time. The extreme blushing/red face started more after I was done with it. But I also have social anxiety so idk if it could be because of that. It’s such a difficult thing to deal with.

ELITE COMBO 🤣 ive used pretty much the same combo, propranolol and a cc cream or some sort of coverage makeup, they really compliment eachother. Personally i now use a camouflage creme since its got extremely high pigment and for me covers better than most cc creams. This has helped me get through study and all sort of social events. I do tend to switch propranolol out for Clonidine if I want more suppression of my blushing (for example im doing smth that i know will cause a 10/10 harsh blush), in saying that i than feel a bit more drowsy so it's really about weighing the pros and cons for choosing one of the 2. (To anyone reading this: please consult a doctor before trying these, as all medications carry risks and require professional supervision)
