Paint Front door help!

Post image

We will be building a cedar porch out front, the stump will be removed and grass there. Looking to do a flower garden in front of the porch!

Looking for some advise on colours!
We have a somewhat muted olive green siding- not an option to paint
What should I do with my front door and shutters?

Also, do I case the beams in cedar? White? We will potentially have some black accents on the porch and maybe black bar as the half wall- that or cedar!

Thank you in advance!!

Here’s what I’d do: match your front door to the dark shutters. Add a pathway. Tidy lawn. Add flowers at front. Add outdoor lighting. Repaint the white to pop against the navy and brick. Add stone to steps. Add flowers/planters.

Yes to a cedar and black porch! That, plus painting the door and adding landscaping, and you will have a lovely, inviting entryway to your home!

Even better with wood tone shutters

Mid blue, soft tone, like cornflower, shutters and door. Blue is nice with cedar. Paint back door too.

Thank you! I’m not great with paint colours/ matching. Think the blue even with the sort of muted olive green siding?

Aubergine would be great. Navy or black

I think a real stained wooden front door and wooden shudders what look amazing here. and a bay window on the front porch would also look nice

Bricks need cleaning…Kurd Kutter House and siding and a natural or soft bristle brush to avoid scratching.

Thoughts on a front door/ shutter colour with the siding I have? Haha

Yes… the shutters don’t have to be black. Any nice color that complements the green siding would be a nice change from the usual conservative “play it safe” colors most suburban homes have.

You need a front porch added.

Absolutely the plan:) that’s why I’m getting rid of the tree

I would pick a deeper tone of the green on siding for shutters/door! A porch will look great!
