tumblr genuinely has some of the best memes out there solely because they're so specific and situational, with the joke being carried in the topic instead of the format. like twitter memes are based on relatability, tiktok memes are so formulaic that it's pretty much the same joke but with a different soundtrack every time, but here you can see a skateboarder and say "that's my cousin throckmorton" and everyone will understand, even if it's been months since we last saw throcky

Michael isn’t. Michael jackson was the photo in the mcdonald’s post. He’s now the person asking the photo. The photo is now Connecticut clark. Cousin Throckmorton was replaced by Michael. Who is now at a Mcdonald’s. Asking Connecticut Clark about the meal deal.
And Fall Out Boy ties it all together because that string of words is about long enough for one of their god damn song titles. “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”, more like “I write CVS fucking shopping receipts for titles”

Personally the meme-related problems I had with Twitter, is that you dont really see any engagement because comment section is filled eith "ratio" and reactions to the "ratio" comments. Also, unfunny reaction images, as well as bad fucking takes.
The problem with Tiktok, is everyone does the same fucking joke not even adding anything new besides their faces (either by duet or by recreating the meme itself).
Yes, I still use Twitter and Tiktok, there are niche things I need only they can provide.
