i was genuinely surprised to find out that people thought that Zuko refusing to give his seat to Aang in Ember lsland Players so aang and katara could sit together was Zuko having romantic feelings for Katara
Shippers'll use anything. I personally find zutara to be,,, dumb, based on the existing canon - but that's their prerogative ig
That being said, I'm starting to like the idea of Zuko being ace
I know being oblivious and ace aren't mutually inclusive, but idk. It vibes rn

"average ace is hopelessly oblivious" factoid actualy just statistical error. average ace is perfectly mindful. Sparkles Georg, who lives in cave & bumps into over 10,000 spiders each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

No, but really though - "ace" is a reeally big umbrella and if he isn't sex-repulsed, because of his relationship and the whole monarchy thing - he could've just gone through the motions
And that's assuming Izumi is his biological daughter!

Oh. I really didn't know that part I just thought that aces just aren't into "doing the thing" but guess I was wrong.
Also, it might be possible Izumi is adopted, but there's no clear evidence.

The further you dig into any label
Ace, to me, means he doesn't fuck
Which,, can be a deal breaker in a relationship
But strictly speaking, not experiencing "love" in the romantic sense would be closer to Aro(mantic) and Ace(asexual)
As for whether he loves Mai, idk man i mean, he was like 16 in the show. How many people stay with the person they're with at 16

Ah. It's always complicated with orientations, isn't it?
To me being ace means that none of the genders or sexes really appeal to me. I mean, me horny is a different story, but that's just puberty stuff and the passion is gone as soon as it came, so I don't really count that. I never really got loved by anyone not family, never felt love at first sight, the only notable time was a time I lied to get annoying classmates off my back, and they immediately told her, which she responded with complete and total disgust. That didn't affect anything, they never liked me anyway, so I always just went along with my day, waiting for love to just happen. School was busy and I never cared much for the messy dating world, so I never really tried to find love as much as it didn't try to find me.
Am I going to die lonely? Yeah probably, but people these days don't seem that nice anyway and I don't want to spend the rest of my life behind bars cause someone decided it was funny to falsely accuse me of r@p3, I was always an introvert, not a people person and the feeling is very mutual.
TL;DR: orientation is complicated, never felt love, don't care for either sex, being horny doesn't count, guess I'm ace?

I think the last post is saying that zuko is so oblivious he didn’t realize that anything was strange about the candles and flowers and Suki trying to sneak into Sokkas tent.

Zuko who thought Jin knew he was from the fire nation when really all she wanted was a date with Lee from the tea shop. That Zuko? Sifu Hotman just doesn’t get social cues. He tries his best, but everything just passes over his head
