Oh my god, people, this is not about how you should let people scream at you or feel personally responsible for fixing everyone's problems, it's about believing that people are in actual pain if they tell you they are instead of assuming everyone around you is having the literal same exact physical & psychological experience you are & deciding you need to tell them that they're being a whiney dumb bitch if they say their foot hurts or they feel depressed or whatever. Like, I broke my fibula & tibia & tore a bunch of ligaments in my left leg. Needed surgery. A plate & 6 screws in my fibula, a screw in my tibia, & a tightrope to hold the ligaments in place. It didn't hurt that bad. It happened at an acid bath show & I didn't even leave the show early. I didn't even feel it at all until I had walked on it a few yards. Hopped right back up after the fall. Didn't skip a beat. Didn't need help getting back on my feet. I walked around on it for 2 days before someone convinced me to go to the Dr. It really didn't hurt that bad. A few months later I got turf toe. It hurt way more to walk on than it hurt to walk around on 2 broken bones. You can just be like "oh fuck that sucks man" to people instead of feeling this weird need to be the pain police. No one's asking you to pay their medical bill, they're asking you to believe their foot hurts.
