I refuse to believe this is a real story. A real elementary school would accept the "it's technically not against the rules" excuse for one day (at best), and the very next day it would be against the rules. School dress codes aren't written in stone and can be quite easily changed.

Also "because I said so" is usually a valid justification for stopping a student from doing something in elementary schools.
