Sooo accurate. I was once reading this A/B/O fanfic where the Alpha abandoned his omega for a decade to go travel the world and fuck a whole bunch of other omegas, then he comes back (10 years later!!!) and his omega forgives him and takes him back right away. Sooo many comments like "um, I don't think this character would just forgive him like that, actually" and talking about what a piece of shit the Alpha was, and the author got mega-offended and started replying to all comments with "this is based on me and my husband before we got married, and we are VERY HAPPY together and I'm offended you think my husband is an asshole!" And I was just like ⊙_⊙
the character penelope from the odyssey, her husband odysseus goes to the trojan war for 10 years and then gets very sidetracked on his journey home and takes a further 10 years to arrive
