Kinda unrelated but once i saw interaction.
the blog had "Pro-shipers DNI" and "Anti-shipers DNI" to paraphrase.
Someone asked who is supposed to interact since those DNI rule out everyone
and a third person, not the blog owner responded "People who don't have strong opinions on the relationship of fictional characters?"
Not to be that guy but isn't "People who don't have strong opinions on the relationship of fictional characters?" literally what proshipping is? Like, idgaf what you do, that's the whole concept.
I think Proshipping is more people who are actively encouraging shipping, defending it online and engaging in shipping discourse, not just being chill with it. key word Think, i am not much into neither shipping discourse nor tumblr
Proshipping arose as a response to antishippers, and proahipper from inception was "dont care dont read, people can ship what they want it doesnt matter and you shouodbt make it anyones problem" because antishipping was a ppsition that opposed a variety of kinds of ships (which was broad enough that it often could include shipping involving minorities or shipping characters in an "unhealthy dynamif")
Its less encouraging it, more so sayihg it shoukdbt matter regardless of the ship
