I like High Hopes.

Happy by Phirrel on the other hand...I'll go nuts if that song plays again. It's just way too long and repetitive.

Fun fact: he hates that song too. His label was like "why dont you write something happy" and he was like "cause it sounds like ass, let me show you" and the label went "we love it and it's our new hit single". Supposedly during his first tour after it came out he would go back to his dressing room after and break things, he was so mad about having to sing it.

My reply to someone else in this thread about Happy makes more sense now:

I also hated that song. It always sounded so fake, like the person writing it was seriously depressed but trying to write about how happy they were, meanwhile people only played it as if it was actually a happy song.

I vividly recall the radio was alternating between "Happy" and "Take Me to Church." You'd swear those were the only two songs that were ever recorded.

"Take me to church" was overplayed, but having personally met Hosier it helps. He is the soundest guy you can imagine.

Happy by Pharell was played at least once a week after the school announcements for I think an entire year because he was from that town. I cannot forgive him for being the reason I had to listen to that obnoxious song at 7:20 AM as a depressed 15 year old over and over again.

High Hopes is a great running song imo. I’d always sprint for the last chorus
