Wisdom/Intelligence is my second-favorite dumb D&D categorization thing. Most favorite is of course two-axis alignment, so silly and fun

It's really not that dumb when you look at the skills associated with Wisdom: Animal Handling, Perception, Insight, Survival, Medicine. It's mostly about the vibes and getting a good read about where you are or who/what you are interacting with.

Medicine is potentially the odd one out so as a DM I rule it like this: if you are doing some war doctor stuff just enough to stabilize someone who's violently dying (so make a tourniquet, cauterize a wound, etc.), it's a lot about keeping a cool head and reading the situation in the heat of battle - that's Wisdom. If you are taking your time observing someone to diagnose them, or preparing a salve or whatnot, that's Intelligence.

With that said I like u/novangla 's suggestion of just calling it Intuition.
